Waracle was selected to assist the NHS in developing a patient engagement app. The project began with an Ideation Workshop to define requirements, explore use cases, create mockup wireframes, and outline the development stages and deliverables. Ensuring that the Android-based 'Patient Engagement Tool' kept users engaged while they completed a brief survey was essential. Waracle incorporated important gamification strategies to make the survey process feel enjoyable, simple, and private. They were tasked with determining which devices would be most suitable for the initiative, which the NHS subsequently acquired. The app processed data inputs and immediately transmitted them to a private cloud-based web administration database. This data was then readily accessible for researchers to review, analyze, and extrapolate. The resulting information could be easily utilized and exported across various tools. Key outcomes:

A Digital Platform Revolutionising Chronic Disease

Waracle developed an intuitive platform that transforms and enhances the diagnosis and treatment of Diabetic Foot Disease (DFD), a condition leading to the loss of a leg every 30 seconds globally. The existing patient management workflow for DFD presents several obstacles that hinder the provision of consistent, high-quality care. In collaboration with ICL, Waracle created an innovative solution to address these issues. The Smrtflo platform is intended to replace current methods that often cause delays in diagnosis and treatment. It generates a comprehensive and easily accessible dataset equipped with collaborative features and integrated insights for healthcare providers. By rethinking the processes for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring, the Smrtflo platform empowers clinicians to improve patient care and reduce the likelihood of severe outcomes.

Apex Rides - Smart Bike Fitness App

Apex Rides

Waracle provided comprehensive software development and companion apps for the UK's first accessible smart bike. Apex Rides features a high-performance, indoor smart bike that is competitively priced, allowing users to participate in live virtual exercise classes through a digital device from the comfort of their homes. In the first three months, there were 30,000 in-app class sessions, with over 800 on-demand classes available to users. Waracle also created the infrastructure needed for real-time metrics and leaderboards.
