OUR STORY
Founded by Alexis Gambis, a filmmaker and biologist, Labocine is dedicated to bridging the worlds of art and science by offering a dynamic platform where filmmakers and artists connect with scientific communities. Originating from the initiative to move the largest Science Film Festival from New York to an accessible online space, Labocine fosters collaboration through features like Habitat, Video Submission, and Labocine Live. Developed with a user-friendly, scalable approach using the MERN stack, the platform excels in hosting global events, including the virtual Imagine Science Film Festival during the pandemic. Labocine empowers creativity and innovation by facilitating the exchange of ideas, promoting the Science New Wave movement, and serving as a hub where art meets science seamlessly.
