Amiga
Client Overview: Amiga is a conversational AI app aimed at supporting parents, specifically for two age groups: teenagers (ages 13-15) and pre-teens (ages 8-12). The app is rooted in social-emotional learning (SEL), which focuses on cultivating self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are essential for success in school, work, and life. Those with well-developed social-emotional skills can better navigate everyday challenges and experience benefits academically, professionally, and socially. SEL encompasses skills like effective problem-solving, self-discipline, impulse control, and emotional management, laying a foundation for positive, long-term outcomes for children, adults, and communities. This platform serves as a tool for parents to engage with their children and manage situations responsibly. The AI bot assesses a child's emotional state through various surveys and offers tailored solutions to parents facing challenges. It also provides insights into a child's needs and enables sharing of experiences to foster a supportive community. Development Process: Vrinda Techapps has collaborated with the client from the initial UI/UX design stage. The mobile applications are available on both Android and iOS platforms. The frontend was developed using Flutter, with backend development in Python, chosen for its flexibility. The apps receive regular updates to address bugs and introduce new features. Moreover, the app is hosted on Microsoft Azure for efficient performance. The design and development process took approximately six weeks, utilizing a mix of waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
