The company experienced ongoing disruptions due to frequent changes in Romania's e-invoicing regulations, as there were no off-the-shelf ERP modules available to meet the shifting compliance requirements. This resulted in delays, a dependence on custom development, and dissatisfaction with a vendor that wasn't delivering. Moreover, the existing Shopify connector was unstable, leading to problems in synchronizing sales data. To address these issues, we developed a customized e-invoicing module that fully complies with Romanian regulatory standards and can be easily updated. We also made several system enhancements to improve stability and tackle other business demands. The Shopify connector was upgraded to ensure accurate, real-time data transfer across sales channels. Additional improvements bolstered accounting integrations with e-Factura, E-Transport, and SAGA XML, enhancing automation and compliance. Consequently, the company now operates with a fully compliant and adaptable invoicing process. System performance and reliability have improved, minimizing manual tasks and eliminating operational bottlenecks. The upgraded Shopify connector ensures smooth order and sales processing, while the optimized accounting integrations provide greater data accuracy, increased efficiency in workflows, and enhanced financial and regulatory oversight.

The company was operating within a disjointed framework that included a Magento 2.x online store, separate accounting on a different server, and custom middleware serving as a basic ERP system.
