Destination Branding for Foreign Direct Invest

The original goal was to develop a destination branding strategy aimed at drawing foreign investments and promoting trade for the country. A coalition of top leaders from the public and private sectors, along with civil society from both Tobago and Trinidad, came together around an innovative brand concept, narrative, and strategy designed to boost investment, commerce, and tourism for the nation. Despite the historical tensions between the two islands, four trips were organized to engage with the Tobago government and its cabinet members until the branding captured their distinct qualities alongside those of the larger, more influential stakeholders in Trinidad. The Minister of Tourism remarked, "Shari - you have achieved the impossible. Your team has created a brand that genuinely unifies us as one people under a single identity."
