The creative team behind the trio of destination bars in Leeds—Belgrave, Waterlane Boathouse, and Headrow House—commissioned us to transform their latest acquisition, the Beck & Call, from an outdated Yorkshire pub into a modern, family-friendly venue that serves cask ales and home-cooked meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Our task involved developing and implementing a streamlined visual identity suitable for large outdoor signage, menus, interior artwork, and social media content. The goal was to incorporate traditional pub graphic elements while maintaining the contemporary style of the client's existing portfolio. Soul Shack - Jamaican Street Food Branding

Chef Tim Longden was excited to share his knowledge of authentic Jamaican cuisine with the UK, aiming to introduce West Yorkshire to delicious, traditional yard food. The client wanted the brand identity to reflect and honor Jamaican culture, showcasing fresh island ingredients, time-honored cooking techniques, and cultural design elements. To grasp the essential values, we spent quality time with the client to explore each component. For Soul Shack, we incorporated reclaimed driftwood, oil drums, and recycled zinc roofing as key elements of the brand identity. These experiential components—such as burning pimento wood beneath a hot zinc roof and using fresh herbs in tin cans—enhanced the essence of the island’s communal dining culture that Longden loves to cook for. Soul Shack requested a comprehensive social media package, which included Instagram story posts, event invitations, custom posters, menu boards, and exterior signage. Through video, we captured the full visual narrative of Longden’s intricate culinary talent and expanded his growing audience. Our bold filmmaking style combined with rich storytelling allows us to blend the personal with the professional, creating an enchanting and inspiring experience.

Prashad - Branding Design

Prashad, initially established on a quaint street in Bradford, has evolved into a multi-award-winning restaurant and is now recognized as the only Indian restaurant in Yorkshire with a 2-star AA rating and a Michelin Bib Gourmand designation. For over 20 years, the family built a reputation for their delicious Gujarati snacks before relocating to their new restaurant in Drighlington in 2010. The establishment is currently operated by the next generation of the family. We were engaged by Chapter 81 to enhance their existing branded materials, giving them a distinctive and upscale appearance. Our strategy emphasized both the culinary offerings and the family’s history through stunning photography by Ben Bentley, complemented by a minimalist color scheme of jet black and vibrant pink to attract Prashad's emerging clientele. The video content we created was aimed at conveying the brand’s core message and promoting alternate revenue streams, like tasting experiences that connect customers with chefs.
