Tunga serves as a platform that links African software developers directly with international software projects. Unlike conventional freelancer platforms, Tunga functions as a social network. Companies have the ability to build a network of developers, while developers can forge friendships and collaborate on projects. This setup provides companies with immediate access to the coding talents they require. Tunga aims to generate significant and sustainable earnings for skilled young people in Africa in an equitable and transparent manner. The initiative is backed by the Butterfly Works Foundation, along with support from organizations such as Mobbr, DOEN Foundation, Dioraphte, Edukans, Triodos Bank, and Trust Law.
