Collection of all navigation items on streets

Unknown

**Client:** One of the top 10 technology firms based in the U.S. **Countries Involved:** UK, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Ireland. **Task:** The objective was to gather comprehensive data on all navigational features along streets, including road signs, stair counts, entrance numbers, and more. The team needed to identify all necessary elements on a draft map and provide photographs as evidence. **Challenge:** The client sought to initiate a new project for a completely different customer. The primary obstacle was that the client lacked experience with this type of project, necessitating our involvement in all stages of planning, workflow management, and risk assessment. **Solution:** The Terry Soot Management Group assembled and trained local teams within a month. The structure established included: 25-30 local field operators per country, 2 field coordinators in each country, and 1 project manager. Training for all field operators was conducted through face-to-face sessions at key locations in each market, covering technical skills (usage of tools and data submission), compliance (adhering to client standards), and incident management (responding to unforeseen situations). Additional tasks included: - Managing tools (overseeing the shipment of secure phones and tech supplies, addressing any technical issues in the field). - Quality control (a dedicated team from TSMG was trained to ensure the accuracy of submitted data). - Travel Desk support (organizing and booking all travel and accommodations for drivers and the training team internally). **Results:** By collaborating with TSMG, the client was able to launch the field operations faster than anticipated and secured additional markets where we were also chosen as the field supplier.

Collection of Ground Truth data for maps

Unknown

**Client**: One of four map providers based in the United States. **Task**: The objective was to assess and enhance the quality of location inference by collecting Ground Truth data that reflects typical customer behavior in Italy, Spain, the UK, and Germany. **Challenges**: The client needed to quickly replace their existing supplier for the project. The primary challenge was to find a new supplier capable of training field teams in a very short timeframe. **Solutions**: The Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) recruited and trained local teams within one month. The following team structure was established: - Four Local Field Operators per country - One Field Coordinator per country - One Project Manager All Field Operators underwent Face-to-Face training at major hubs in each market. The training comprised three key areas: technical skills (how to utilize tools and properly submit data), compliance (achieving the client's compliance standards), and response strategies (dealing with unpredictable situations). Additional responsibilities for our team included: - Tool management (shipping secured phones and technical supplements, resolving any tech issues in the field). - Quality Control (a separate TSMG team was established to monitor the quality of the submitted data). - Travel Desk support (all travel arrangements and accommodations for drivers and the training team were planned and booked internally). **Results**: Collaborating with TSMG led to a new planning strategy that increased productivity by 11% and optimized business travel budgets, resulting in more efficient trips and reduced expenses. After completing the projects in Spain and Italy, the client opted to continue working with TSMG for their next projects in the UK and Germany.

Collect data from Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Unknown

**Client:** A leading IT consultancy ranked among the top 10 in the US. **Task:** The objective was to gather data from Electric Vehicle Charging Stations across various countries and assess their operational effectiveness. **Countries Involved:** UK, DE, FR, NO, SE, NL, BE, CH, AT, DK, FI, ES, IT, PT, LU. **Challenges:** The client aimed to initiate a brand-new project in seven EU countries but faced the challenge of lacking prior experience in data collection of this nature. They required assistance from the supplier in developing the workflow. **Solutions:** The Terry Soot Management Group swiftly assembled and trained local teams within one month. The following structure was established: five local drivers per country, one field coordinator per country, and one project manager. All field operators underwent face-to-face training at major hubs in each market. The training covered three main areas: technical skills (how to effectively use tools and correctly submit data), compliance (meeting the client's compliance standards), and incident management (how to handle unexpected situations). Our team's additional responsibilities included: - Locating electric vehicles with the necessary range for longer trips and the appropriate types of connectors. - Managing tools, including shipping secured phones and tech supplies and addressing any technical issues encountered in the field. - Implementing quality control through a dedicated TSMG team tasked with ensuring the quality of the submitted data. - Providing Travel Desk support for the planning and booking of travel and accommodations for drivers and the training team. **Results:** Through collaboration with TSMG, the client successfully executed this complex project, collecting specific datasets within tight timelines. They launched the fieldwork in shorter durations than anticipated. Following the completion of the initial markets, the client chose to partner with TSMG once more for the next eight countries.
