**CHALLENGE** Terrapin Architecture is an architectural firm that draws inspiration from the Pacific Northwest, offering Architectural, Planning, and Structural Design services. This comprehensive firm sought to refresh their design to showcase their impressive architectural photography. Previously, Terrapin had operated two distinct websites employing outdated search engine practices. The goal for the new website was to create an appealing design that could reach potential clients in various new markets while being easy for Terrapin staff to manage. **SOLUTION** Totera took cues from the breathtaking beaches, lush rainforests, and towering peaks of the Olympic Peninsula to collaborate with founder Richard Berg on design concepts, website features, and a digital marketing strategy. They built a robust portfolio module from scratch and integrated it into a tailored content management system. Additionally, Totera refined page titles and meta tags to align with Google’s SEO standards and implemented user engagement tracking and analytics. **RESULT** The revamped website boasts a sleek design and robust portfolio capabilities. There was an immediate uptick in visitors from new markets, and the portfolio gets regular updates with new content. All Google Maps and Google+ reviews are accurately linked to their respective locations. The enhanced website performance reporting supports strategic marketing efforts in newly identified areas for potential growth. Additionally, PTMSC staff were manually handling their online donations, event calendar, and program registrations. SOLUTION Totera created a custom, mobile-responsive website from scratch. By collaborating closely with the client, Totera improved the organization's processes by automating several essential tasks. The enhancement of the information architecture enables site visitors to easily find the information they need. RESULT The new PTMSC.org features a modern website with high-quality images and user-friendly navigation that performs well on mobile devices. The updated member management system allows PTMSC staff to effectively manage and support their expanding donor community. The new event registration system has saved staff time and improved efficiency for both PTMSC staff and the families they assist.
