Driving donations for GOSHCC's Christmas Appeal

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity

Last year, the 'One Step Closer' Christmas appeal by Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity achieved its highest fundraising total in five years, despite the challenges posed by the cost-of-living crisis. Our award-nominated digital strategy, which included platforms such as Search, Performance Max, Display, Spotify, and Adroll, generated over £221,000 in just six weeks. Additionally, this year's Christmas Stocking Appeal, one of GOSH Charity's key initiatives, raised over £1.1 million—marking the highest amount collected in five years. Notably, digital contributions accounted for 50% of the total for the first time. "Your team played a significant role in that achievement, so thank you," said Robert Butt, Senior Individual Giving Manager.

Girlguiding Leap into Performance Max

Since 2017, we've been collaborating with Girlguiding, the largest youth organization in the UK focused entirely on girls aged 4-18, where we've handled their Google shopping and search advertising. With the introduction of Google's new campaign type, Performance Max, we recognized an opportunity to boost their revenue and return on ad spend. The outcome? The Performance Max campaign generated over £14,000 in revenue and produced 111 additional purchases compared to other shopping campaigns during the same timeframe. Moreover, the return on investment increased by 158%. "It's clear that we plan to keep using Performance Max in our paid marketing efforts going forward, especially for our major campaigns. While it may require some extra effort to set up initially, it becomes simpler over time and definitely pays off in the long run," said Jen Howell, Marketing Lead at Girlguiding.

Nesta Migrate from Drupal to Wagtail
