Our Story Thunk consists of a compact but powerful team of seasoned professionals. Founded by Rick Farrell, who dedicated ten years at Google to enhancing user experience for Maps, Android, and Search, he has also collaborated with renowned companies like Skype, Yahoo, the BBC, and Virgin. The rest of our team possesses extensive expertise in UX research, product design, digital strategy, and AI, with backgrounds from some of the most esteemed organizations globally.

Twitter: Redesigning Professional User Access

We collaborated with Twitter to address the changing requirements of both professional and advanced users. As a result, there was an 18% decrease in password sharing among professional teams and shared accounts. In terms of design collaboration, we united internal teams through insights gathered from research and design workshops, resulting in new and innovative designs that had not been previously considered, all aimed at satisfying the needs of professional users across Twitter's products. During our research and strategy phase, we engaged deeply with global news organizations, interviewing and observing hundreds of journalists and marketers, which provided the foundational insights that contributed to the project's success.

Reed: Reimagining a better job seeking experience

Premier Farnell: Transforming b2b e-commerce

While some features, such as "save for later,” made the product more familiar, they were often not developed based on actual user needs or insights. We commenced with an extensive ethnographic research project, where we observed and followed customers from various technology firms that frequently purchase electrical components. Our observations included engineers, buyers, team administrators, and even CEOs! The insights gained allowed us to create a solution that was beneficial for both Premier Farnell and its customers.
