At Thriv, our annual Christmas gathering led to a unique exploration of teamwork through a custom tabletop role-playing game co-created with Pasi Seppänen. Set in 1987, this game challenged us as detectives and agents to dismantle a cartel across varied scenarios. As we engaged, natural team roles surfaced—leaders, thinkers, jokesters—mirroring Belbin's nine team roles model, which underscores the value of diverse social, thinking, and action-oriented behaviors for effective collaboration.
