Our Narrative We are Threls, a custom software team located in Malta, founded on principles of empathy, integrity, and transparency. Established by three co-founders dedicated to the community, our diverse team delivers personalized, iterative solutions through the Scrum Framework. Digimed is a digital healthcare platform designed to make online consultations easier and enhance the patient experience across clinics, pharmacies, and insurance companies. Our team was involved in every stage of development, from idea to execution, creating a tailored ecosystem comprising dedicated applications for patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacies, all focused on simplicity, privacy, and regulatory compliance. The Patient App enables users to schedule video consultations, receive digital prescriptions, track appointments, and manage their health information securely. The Doctor App provides medical professionals with features for scheduling appointments, conducting video consultations, issuing electronic prescriptions, and accessing patient histories on demand. To complete the system, we created the Pharmacy App (available on web and mobile), which allows pharmacies to receive, approve, and manage e-prescriptions in real time. Doctors can issue both one-time and repeat prescriptions with defined expiration dates, while pharmacies benefit from QR code validation, refill tracking, and built-in protections against misuse. The platform prioritizes security and GDPR compliance, ensuring smooth integration among all parties involved. It establishes a user-friendly and adaptable framework for contemporary healthcare delivery, enhancing accessibility, speed, and transparency in patient care.

The Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU), Malta's national student union, collaborated with Threls to transform its digital landscape by developing a centralized platform for students to connect, collaborate, and access essential university resources. This initiative aimed to modernize KSU's online presence and improve the management of communications, events, and student services across both web and mobile platforms. Threls built the platform from scratch, delivering a responsive website and corresponding mobile apps that facilitate a smooth experience for both students and administrators. Notable features include an Events Management System for showcasing and organizing university events, a Seating System to streamline hall bookings, a Carpooling feature to support sustainable transportation among students, a digital rental inventory system, and a Career Finder Portal. Threls has further improved the solution by enhancing CMS capabilities, which enable administrators to create new pages using predefined layouts, manage bilingual content (English and Maltese), and independently update key sections. For us, the KSU project has meant more than just coding or design; it's been a partnership. We've collaborated closely to ensure their digital presence evolves alongside their vision, constantly adapting to their requirements. We're not finished yet; each year offers new opportunities to explore, and we are always prepared for the next challenge. This project has exceeded our initial expectations, which is precisely why we cherish it.
