Global growth follows success in Europe
**Background** Our partnership with Pharmapod began at the onset of their startup development. The team had created a minimum viable product (MVP) with a very limited budget, primarily to gauge market interest in tools designed to enhance patient safety and mitigate risks. Almost immediately, there was a significant demand for the solution, which the MVP was unable to support. Nonetheless, it demonstrated a clear interest within the healthcare sector for Pharmapod's vision, necessitating a more comprehensive enterprise solution to be developed swiftly.
**Discovery to Roadmap** Following an intensive two-week design sprint that incorporated feedback from early users, the founding team, and investors, we promptly established a three-phase plan to tackle the existing challenges.
**Three-Phase Plan**
1. **Tactical**: The Tactical phase, spanning the initial three months, focused on addressing immediate issues. This involved re-architecting the platform and migrating all current customers along with a backlog of new clients to the updated system.
2. **Transform**: Simultaneously, we worked on a long-term strategy. This began with in-person customer and sales research, followed by an extensive analysis of competitors. The outcome was a strategy for a tiered offering that catered to Pharmapod's essential market segments: individual practitioners, small chains, and enterprise care providers, while also ensuring compliance with the reporting and information governance standards mandated by national health regulators. Nine months later, we successfully launched the Pharmapod Global Reporting and Learning System, which includes a range of modules tailored for each market segment.
3. **Expand**: With insights gained from collaborations with major enterprise partners such as Superdrug, Boots, McKesson, NHS, and HSE, we moved to broaden the platform's offerings. This expansion includes international drug databases, a module for standard operating procedures, and a suite of tools for clinical services management.
