Crafting a brand and digital approach fit for OGT

Oxford Gene Technologu

OTG enlisted UP to revamp their entire brand identity and then reorganize and redesign their website and digital presence. The goal was to develop a brand that reflected the expertise and mastery of a leader in hybridization technology, clinical research, and diagnostic solutions. By infusing a human touch into the brand, UP’s creative teams crafted a narrative centered on partnership, emphasizing OGT’s strong customer service ethos and exceptional scientific knowledge. This process resulted in a distinctive and elegantly designed brand, capturing the intricate and complex nature of the industry through custom illustrations, patterns, and a newly established brand structure. When UP’s DIGITAL team joined the project, OGT’s existing website was not mobile-friendly, and the Cytocel product site was built on a proprietary CMS. UP developed a fully responsive, user-centric site featuring engaging design elements such as new illustrations, videos, and animations, all aligned with the new visual identity created by the UP brand team. Additionally, they delivered an easy-to-use CMS that allows for quick updates, the creation of new landing pages, and day-to-day management. All product pages were designed with customizable shopping basket functionality, providing a streamlined experience without resembling a traditional eCommerce platform.

Digital marketing campaigns on a global scale

Schindler

Schindler is a global leader in sustainable and intelligent urban mobility solutions. They facilitate city organization by enabling the movement of people and goods, integrating both vertical and horizontal transportation systems. The campaign initially targeted three markets—Australia, the UK, and Italy—to collect valuable insights to be shared with all PDT teams. For the Italian market, we employed a balanced combination of social media (LinkedIn and Facebook) and Google strategies, while providing extensive Google Ads support to the Australian and UK PDT teams. Additionally, we bolstered the organic PDT communications across social platforms to enhance brand awareness. Throughout the campaign, we monitored various conversions, including premium downloads and contact inquiries. Google PPC ads emerged as the top conversion channel in all three markets, followed by LinkedIn. The campaign was highly successful, and we have shared all collected data (such as top-converting keywords and highest-performing ads) with the Schindler Group, enabling global PDT teams to incorporate these insights into their marketing approaches for future international expansions.

Transforming an eminent NPO's website

British Veterinary Association

In September 2018, UP for Digital was invited to submit a proposal by the British Veterinary Association (BVA) for a complete UX redesign and technical rebuild of their website. As the UK’s largest non-profit membership organization for veterinary professionals, the BVA supports and empowers over 18,000 vets across various ages, career stages, and specialties. Their website serves as the central platform for veterinary journals, news, opinions, and opportunities. Securing this project was a major achievement for us because we were confident in our ability to help the BVA meet their complex requirements, including integrating third-party systems, adding seamless e-commerce capabilities, and connecting with their existing legacy CRM. The primary goal was to give the BVA's content team full control and flexibility over each page, allowing them to add or remove individual components as needed, shifting away from fixed page templates toward customizable page building blocks. We developed and integrated over 40 different components into the new Umbraco CMS, ensuring full functionality across all devices—from mobile phones to desktops. Although it may sound straightforward, this was an extensive process that took just over a year from start to launch, with the site going live in December 2019. Ultimately, we delivered a website that was tailored, thorough, well-organized, highly navigable, intuitive, and above all, not only easy but enjoyable to use.
