**The Mission** To enhance its next generation of products, Cars.com chose to update its systems to a modern cloud infrastructure and accelerate development using Elixir and Phoenix. The transformation extended beyond technology; by implementing Shape Up, they fundamentally changed their team collaboration. With numerous changes taking place simultaneously, Cars.com relied on Test Double to expand a high-performing team and establish a solid foundation for their business's future. **The Fix** Test Double assisted Cars.com in developing not just an excellent software platform but also an effective team. What began with a small group learning Elixir eventually grew to over 50 engineers delivering features daily. Collaborating as equals naturally created opportunities for knowledge sharing. Together, we established a straightforward architecture, developed a comprehensive test suite, and designed code that would be easy to maintain over time. By the end of our involvement, Cars.com’s engineering team was operating at peak efficiency. Our consultants are dedicated to more than just coding; we support clients in overcoming various challenges. We strive to exemplify the behaviors of successful teams by encouraging empathy, enhancing collaboration, and building trust throughout the process. **The Results** Our goal was to be a reliable partner for Cars.com without fostering excessive reliance on our support. The Mission We assisted Enbala in developing and scaling their Concerto platform into a distributed, thoroughly tested, and fault-tolerant comprehensive application. Working closely with Enbala's team, we quickly advanced features, identified efficiencies, and consistently enhanced the system's reliability and resilience. The Fix The Concerto platform dynamically adjusts and adapts across a vast network of electrical grid assets, providing immediate responses through continuous feedback loops that process large volumes of data. We partnered with Enbala’s development team to refactor, enhance, and broaden its capabilities. Great Software Software development involves people as well. Throughout the process, we also focused on the human aspect. The Results Enbala is at the forefront of establishing cleaner, more sustainable power grids, with Test Double being an essential partner in achieving this goal.

Empowering online learners with Clever

Clever

Clever was tasked with two critical projects that had tight deadlines as the school year approached. The aim of both initiatives was to create a user-friendly experience for busy school district staff, enabling them to efficiently handle the administrative tasks necessary for online learning. The Fix Test Double consultants concentrated on two parallel projects: one involved back-end development in Golang for automated user data processing, while the other encompassed both back-end and front-end development using Golang and React for a self-service identity management tool. Our Commitment to Quality and Team Empowerment As part of our commitment to improving client teams, we not only met two challenging project deadlines for Clever but also equipped the team with well-tested code that new members on various rapidly evolving teams could easily understand. Additionally, we assisted in identifying architectural and tooling enhancements for immediate performance boosts and made a meaningful contribution to secure, maintainable code.
