Our client, DHL, sought to create an enterprise app that simplifies and expedites the process for customers sending parcels internationally. At DHL's drop-in centers, customers would bring their packages and verbally provide the shipment information, such as destination and contents, to a DHL agent. The agent would then enter this data into the DHL online system to produce the necessary shipping documentation. However, this process was slow, particularly due to the time taken to validate the address information provided to the agent. To address this issue, DHL collaborated with us to develop a technical solution. We created a self-service platform that integrates with the agent shipping application, specifically an iPad app stationed at the counter in each drop-in center. This app enables customers to enter their destination address and select the package size, which is then automatically submitted to the DHL shipment system. This self-service approach streamlines the process, making it quicker and eliminating transcription errors. The app proved so effective that we adapted a similar concept for the Guinness Storehouse, resulting in an immediate boost in sales. Within two months of implementing the kiosk, DHL experienced a 60% increase in sales, a figure that has remained consistent year after year.

Slendertone Connect App by Bio Medical Research Ltd

The app is designed to enhance motivation by visually representing users’ progress through straightforward graphics and enjoyable animations. Slendertone Connect utilizes cutting-edge Bluetooth technology to connect with the Slendertone abdominal toning belt and syncs data with Slendertone’s online portal for users to track their progress digitally. Throughout the development of Slendertone Connect, safety was a top priority. In line with Toyota's brand commitment to creating a 'Better World,' the company developed the Toyota FaceItDown app, aimed at changing driver habits and enhancing road safety for all. In collaboration with the Road Safety Authority, FBD Insurance, and Circle K, Toyota offers rewards to drivers who place their phones face down while driving. These drivers can redeem points earned during their journeys for a €50 discount on their car insurance with FBD Insurance or a free hot drink at Circle K locations across the country. The app is available to all drivers, not just those who own Toyotas. Initially launched as a cross-platform app using React Native, it incorporates some native code on Android and iOS to meet specific needs. The FaceItDown API is a service that handles requests from the mobile apps and the administration dashboard, utilizing Node.js for the service and RethinkDB for data management.
