The client sought to create a portal that would closely integrate with Tableau, a widely used Business Intelligence (BI) tool, to showcase various analytics and dashboards based on user access rights. In response, Taction Software designed and developed the portal using the ZEND Framework 2 (ZF2), implementing a robust PHP security layer and integrating with the Tableau JS API. By incorporating a responsive design with Bootstrap, the portal enabled the creation of multiple user profiles with specific roles and permissions. This allowed administrators to upload Tableau dashboards and allocate access rights according to individual needs. Additionally, we implemented SSL on the Tableau server to enhance security. As a result, the portal provided the client with a streamlined solution for designing and publishing Tableau dashboards while effectively managing user access based on their roles, involvement in processes, and data visibility requirements.
