Tahometer is a time-tracking tool designed for large remote teams. We completely revamped it to streamline existing user flows and incorporated new features like productivity charts that reflect the types of applications used, as well as custom reports for quicker employee timesheet assessments. Challenge: In the previous version, employees found it difficult to see the total hours they had logged, while managers faced lengthy timesheet review processes. Additionally, an unresponsive interface hindered the Tahometer team from adding new features. Solution: We first added a Summary section that offers a quick glimpse of logged hours for both team leaders and regular users. Next, we enhanced the review process with productivity charts and comprehensive, customizable reports. Lastly, we developed a mobile-first, responsive interface based on our new design system.

Project with Logflare

Logflare is an advanced log management platform designed for modern developers, enabling them to efficiently store and analyze vast amounts of event logs affordably. We developed a brand style guide that features a new logo, a layout for the project website, and a template for a logger application. Challenge: Since its launch in early 2019, Logflare has experienced a significant surge in active users. However, even after amassing over 100 billion logs, the project lacked established brand guidelines. Additionally, while the site effectively clarified service concepts, it fell short in providing the marketing content necessary to boost paid subscriptions. Many users also lacked confidence in the platform's credibility for data storage on Logflare servers. Solution: To address these issues, we first conducted research on the target audience and competitors to alleviate user concerns regarding data privacy and pricing transparency. We then created a mood board, a new logo, and a set of design patterns, all influenced by hacker subculture, to form the basis of our style guide. Finally, we revamped the website with more compelling content and implemented a distinct dark theme.

CapRaise is a platform that offers family offices carefully selected investment opportunities, functioning as a fintech marketplace for investments ranging from $20 million to over $500 million. Based in Australia, CapRaise operates worldwide and has successfully raised $1.41 billion in capital for its clients. In addition to designing the platform, we also created a tailored investor deck template for CapRaise. The Challenge: Family office managers are a busy audience with little time to waste, while deal providers prioritize privacy and seek only serious investors. This results in both parties spending valuable time searching for business partners and frequently turning down the majority of offers. The Solution: To address this, we first provided deal providers with easy access to platform metrics related to investor preferences, automatically filtering out unsuitable deals. Next, we established a system that allowed family office managers to create profiles that matched them with specific types of deals. Finally, rather than requiring users to conduct active searches, we implemented automated notifications for deals that matched their criteria.
