SafeLives - Case Study

Safelives

SafeLives is a charity committed to permanently ending domestic abuse. By collaborating with organizations throughout the UK, SafeLives aims to improve the support available to victims and families at crucial moments. The Challenge With over 120 users to assist, SafeLives’ IT Officer, Laura, struggled to balance addressing support tickets, safeguarding the charity's network, and implementing their IT strategy. Recognizing the need for additional IT support, Laura initially approached a Bristol-based IT firm. However, after a promising start, the service quality from SafeLives' IT provider deteriorated, resulting in longer response times and returning Laura and her team to square one. This prompted Laura to look for a new IT company that could offer reliable service. The Solution Impressed by our average response times, flexible contracts, and positive customer feedback, Laura contacted us as a potential managed service provider (MSP). After learning more about SafeLives, we were confident we could exceed their expectations and provide the necessary support. The Outcome We began by resolving outstanding issues left by the previous IT company, such as overdue updates and necessary IT maintenance. Users reported poor WiFi coverage in their office and requested an investigation. Our field technician discovered that SafeLives was using outdated access points. After upgrading to newer models, staff noticed a significant improvement in WiFi range. In 2023, we will assist SafeLives with additional IT initiatives, including cloud server migration and Microsoft 365 projects.
