Migration to Virtual Cloud Environment

Unknown

Syscom collaborated with a law firm that utilized managed services to transition their on-premises setup to the cloud. The client was running several outdated applications, including Time Slips, on their local servers. This migration posed a distinctive challenge that the Syscom team had to address in order to ensure project success. By employing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and provisioning servers on Azure, Syscom successfully moved all on-premises resources to the cloud, including Active Directory and key line-of-business applications. As a result, the client now has their essential technology infrastructure in the cloud, enabling them to scale according to their business requirements and minimizing the risk of downtime during hurricanes, which are common in South Louisiana.

Migration of Medical Clinic to the Cloud

Unknown

This client is a medical practice that was using an on-site server that was about to reach its end of support from Microsoft. They decided to transition to the cloud, utilizing Azure AD and cloud file storage. As part of this migration, multi-factor authentication was also introduced. Syscom successfully completed the project within budget, enabling the client to move to a cloud environment. By moving away from on-premises resources, the client has minimized the risk of workflow disruption due to natural disasters like hurricanes, while also enhancing their network security.

Networked Access Control and Surveillance Install

Unknown

A prominent non-profit organization launched a new cutting-edge facility and sought a network-supported surveillance and access control system. Syscom provided a solution that connected to the client's existing network, combining the access control and surveillance systems into a single platform. The system featured Axis door controllers that used key cards, allowing employees to navigate the facility. Syscom successfully executed the solution within a tight deadline in preparation for the facility's grand opening.
