Branding, Website, and Marketing
Black Book aimed to establish itself as the leading authority in Automotive Data as an increasing number of "startup" companies and competitors sought to capture market share. Historically, they held the top position, yet emerging businesses were gaining momentum through more contemporary marketing strategies and positioning. We worked with the leadership team to identify the key factors that initially made Black Book the industry leader and established aspects that competitors couldn't genuinely claim. It was essential to define their uniqueness. We observed that the team was deeply committed to the quality of their data, recognizing that higher data quality would empower their customers to make informed decisions. Next, as we do with all clients, we assessed the existing visual branding to determine whether it reflected the distinctive and robust brand strategy. In Black Book's case, the brand did not align with the team's cutting-edge technology and data-driven focus. The previous branding was influenced by the print industry, while the current business model was innovative, digital, and delivered information through top-tier APIs. Thus, the team set out to develop a visual system that conveyed the brand's innovation and leadership. After establishing the new visual identity, the team proceeded to create a website that integrated the new messaging, powerful visual identity, and effective conversion design. The site was designed to facilitate easy navigation for each specific audience to find tailored solutions, organizing content and products into clearly defined categories that made it simple for the target audience to learn and take action. Since its launch, Black Book has experienced a 47.47% increase in form conversion rates and a 16.4% boost in lead volume.
