YCITY is a utility management application designed for the YCITY smart community that monitors consumption of electricity, water, and gas through IoT-enabled devices connected to these utilities. What We Did: YCITY has integrated IoT devices within their community and apartments to monitor utility usage. This data enables us to develop an application that offers users a graphical interface for visualizing their utility expenses and consumption. We also incorporated a payment gateway, allowing users to settle their bills easily with a single click using their preferred payment method, facilitating smooth community operations. Additionally, the app stores a history of all generated bills, and it can send reminders for upcoming due dates, ensuring that users never forget to make a payment!

Gleio - The Hotel App

Gleio aimed to elevate hotel management by integrating technology, allowing all hotel check-ins and facilities management to be handled through a single application. What did we achieve? We envisioned a universal platform that facilitates check-ins for multiple hotel reservations, which is a groundbreaking concept. This innovation addresses the often cumbersome check-in process, enabling users to complete it effortlessly via an app even before arriving. Additionally, the app's functionality to access hotel facilities enhances user convenience for everyone. Within just three months, we developed the core application and established a robust backend to not only meet our primary objectives but also incorporate extra features like room availability, feedback management, and guest management for hotels. INTENSIVE TESTING The hospitality and hotel management sector is fast-paced, demanding a disciplined and committed approach. Especially regarding user expectations for an application, a high standard must be maintained. Therefore, we exercised great caution during the testing of both the front-end app and backend systems. Extensive testing occurred over several months to identify and fix various bugs, ensuring the platforms could withstand real-world demands.

Eenadu - Digital Media, News & Broadcasting App

To deliver breaking news quickly, Eenadu turned to Switch to create a mobile app for its news portal. The existing legacy backend content management system made content gathering and regular updates quite complex. WHAT WE DID: With over 200 synchronized and scheduled daily operations, we successfully developed the mobile app and created a backend specifically for content management, enabling push notifications to users. Within two months, the app was downloaded more than 80,000 times. LEGACY CHALLENGES: Building a platform based on a legacy system is challenging, especially for a news application where data changes rapidly. This stream of dynamic data needed to be updated on both the application and the website simultaneously, which required us to implement asynchronous operations through cron jobs. RE-VISION: Eenadu is one of the most esteemed and long-standing news organizations in Southern India. The established brand image and expectations had to be reflected in the app's design, from its user experience (UX) to its user interface (UI), while also adapting to the standards of modern news applications. Therefore, we opted for a clean white UI and an intuitive UX, using font sizes and images to enhance the overall design.
