Agate Designs E-Commerce Site

Agate Designs is a small, family-run business located in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square area, focusing on minerals, fossils, crystals, and decorative items. When the COVID-19 pandemic affected their retail operations, they approached us to develop an online shopping feature for their current website. We suggested creating a custom WordPress e-commerce site to effectively present their distinctive products to both new and returning customers. **Product and Image Creation** The initial phase in setting up the new e-commerce store for Agate Designs involved assisting them in creating product categories, descriptions, and images. Following our advice, the client provided detailed product images, which our team then color-corrected and optimized for online use. We also aided the client in crafting product descriptions and additional information to better highlight their unique decorative items. **Web and UX/UI Design** After completing this step, we began designing Agate Designs' online store. Having previously developed their brochure website, this was a great opportunity to refresh their entire online presence by adding shopping capabilities. Our team designed a mobile-first WordPress and WooCommerce website, ensuring an excellent user experience on all devices. By integrating images with striking design elements, we crafted a sophisticated and elegant appearance for Agate Designs. We also skillfully used images, colors, and textures to draw the viewer's attention to specific site elements while ensuring an optimal mobile experience. **E-Commerce Design & Configuration** The final stage of our WordPress web design project for Agate Designs involved creating their new online store, shopping cart, and payment gateway. Built on the WooCommerce platform, their new online store seamlessly integrated with their mobile-first WordPress site. We designed simple shop and product pages that aligned with the overall aesthetic of the website.

When we were first approached by this client, they had an outdated online presence with limited e-commerce options. **Art Direction and Branding** The initial phase of creating a new e-commerce platform for Anza Gems involved helping them define their key objectives and target audience, as well as developing a minimalist yet elegant design strategy. Once this foundation was established, we proceeded to design a mobile-first online store for Anza Gems. Given the client’s numerous specific requests and functionality needs, our team faced a challenging task. **UX/UI Design** Anza Gems had a clear vision of their ideal e-commerce site. Using that as a guide, our team developed a WordPress and WooCommerce website that ensures a great user experience on all devices. By effectively utilizing images and colors/textures, we directed viewers to the relevant content quickly, enhancing the mobile user experience. The final phase involved fine-tuning the design elements to align with the client’s precise expectations, including adjustments tailored for various mobile devices. **E-Commerce Design & Configuration** The concluding step was to set up the online store, shopping cart, and payment gateway. To support future product range expansion, we established sortable categories for easy product navigation. Both the shopping cart and payment gateway are designed with a mobile-first approach, providing an improved experience across all device types and screen sizes. Additionally, we integrated their online store with their current accounting system and software. Natural House Pro reached out to our studio in Japan in need of a straightforward, mobile-friendly website. The client had recently secured a franchise for eco-friendly cleaning products and services and was prepared to tap into a new market. The initial step involved collaborating with the client to define their content and marketing strategy. They shared a few basic concepts and some marketing materials from the franchisor. We enhanced these materials by adding extra content to develop a comprehensive content strategy and information architecture. The next phase was to design the visual components for their new website. We began by refreshing their basic logo to make it stand out more in a competitive landscape. Following that, we captured new images of the client’s various services, including their team in action, across multiple locations and conditions. Once we gathered the necessary content and visuals, our team integrated them into a user-friendly website. We opted for a bold, modern, and minimalistic design approach to align with the client’s emphasis on sanitation and environmental responsibility, utilizing a simple color palette of greens and blues to reinforce this theme. The combination of striking design elements and imagery showcasing the client’s methods and processes laid the foundation for the website and its architecture. A straightforward content strategy and an eye-catching navigation menu enable users to swiftly locate the information they need. The new site is highly user-friendly and delivers an excellent experience across all devices and screen sizes.
