We began our filming in Budapest, Hungary, and concluded at Dracula's Castle in Romania. The tricky part was that this castle, situated in the tourist-heavy village of Bran, attracts many visitors. However, with the help of our local partners, we successfully aligned the authorities with our vision, allowing us to capture some incredible footage in the heart of Romania. The groundwork for this project was laid well before the crew's arrival in Budapest. Storytailors conducted the initial research and crafted the story for this episode. Therefore, when Chris and his team arrived in Budapest, we were well-prepared with everything set up, including the contributors. The entire process went smoothly, thanks to our project manager and our local partners, who ensured that Chris and his team had a fantastic filming experience for this episode.

25-yo Adopted Man Reunited with Mother

John Allen AG – Show: “Happy Day”

To bring this story to life, we had a local producer managing the crew during the three days of filming in Romania, while collaborating closely with John Allen’s team from Switzerland. Happy Day, a well-known Swiss TV show that has been on the air since 2007 and is hosted by the famous Röbi Koller, was following a narrative beginning in a small, remote Romanian town. For over 25 years, Ivan had been unaware of what had happened to his mother and had lost touch with his biological family, yet he remained curious about his roots. His adoptive parents were always supportive of his search for his biological mother. Although Ivan traveled to Romania alone in the summer of 2021 to find his family, he was unsuccessful in uncovering any information about his heritage. In response, his adoptive parents decided to reach out to Happy Day for assistance. Fast forward to early 2022, Ivan returned to Romania, this time accompanied by his wife, two lovely daughters, and his adoptive parents to meet his birth mother. Their emotional and exhilarating reunion was a moment we were thrilled to witness. The episode recently aired on Swiss TV, showcasing a glimpse of our contribution.
