Canadian Women and Sport

Canadian Women & Sport is focused on fostering an equitable and inclusive landscape for sports and physical activities in Canada, particularly for girls and women. Formerly known as the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS), they collaborated with our agency partners at Republic to develop a new name and brand identity. Following that, Stack Creative was responsible for designing a new website. The aim was to create a versatile and engaging platform capable of hosting a large volume of resources, workshops, publications, and other essential thought and practice leadership materials from the outset, available in both English and French, while ensuring it met AA-level accessibility standards effortlessly. We revamped the Information Architecture and SEO for the new website and aligned it with a series of adaptable, component-based UX Design templates, providing the client with substantial creative freedom within a straightforward framework. The visual design featured new brand colors, including midnight navy, ultra pink, accent blues, and a gradient. The updated name, brand identity, and teaser website (also developed by us) were launched in February 2020, followed by the full site in March. World Vision International collaborated with the innovation and service design consultancy The Moment to co-create a global product aimed at offering life-saving resources to individuals in high-risk areas. This initiative sought to engage new audiences globally by raising awareness and garnering support. Stack Creative contributed to this effort by developing the creative concept for the product, which involved formulating messaging strategies, providing visual design and UX guidelines, copywriting assistance, and overseeing creative direction in photography, illustration, and iconography. The primary goal was to ensure the project was distinctive within its category and to differentiate it from other World Vision initiatives, while maintaining a connection to the overall World Vision brand identity. This collaboration resulted in a comprehensive messaging platform that encompassed landing pages, advertising, social media, and CRM/email marketing, all encapsulated in a set of detailed guideline documents for World Vision offices to use. The global launch took place on World Refugee Day. It should be noted that while Stack’s UX and creative contributions influenced World Vision offices worldwide, each office was individually responsible for implementation, so the in-market creative may vary from what is shown here. Reunion Foods partnered with Stack to relaunch their beloved Michelle’s Rawfoodz brand of organic dressings, sauces, and dips under the new name Mother Raw. Another agency, Zulu Alpha Kilo, had already established the brand's positioning, name, logo, and packaging, and it was up to us to build upon this foundation by defining brand guidelines and creating various key creative assets for the launch. Stack's responsibilities included: - Expanding the brand across all channels - Developing and managing brand guidelines, tone of voice, copy direction, art direction, and design - Designing the website and creating content in collaboration with the Shopify agency Alt & Dot - Producing original product and recipe photography - Designing a social media launch campaign along with a social “toolkit” for the marketing team to utilize over time - And addressing other creative elements necessary for a successful rebrand and launch. Following the brand's launch, we have continued to collaborate with Mother Raw on various campaigns and materials, including their “Duel of the Dressings” campaign for the 20th flavor, which allowed fans to vote on what the new flavor should be (creative shown below).
