Burst Oral Care: E-commerce Platform Development
Since 2017, SpringHire has served as the technology and growth partner for Burst Oral Care, collaborating closely with the founding team to establish the business from the ground up. What started as a nascent concept has developed into a market-leading direct-to-consumer oral care brand through years of intensive collaboration, tailored engineering, and ongoing refinement. From the outset, our involvement extended beyond mere development; we acted as an integral part of Burst’s team—contributing to the establishment of the technical infrastructure, product design, customer experience, and scalability necessary for rapid growth in a competitive consumer landscape.
Building From Scratch (2017–2024)
Between 2017 and 2024, SpringHire created, developed, and managed a completely customized eCommerce platform designed specifically for Burst’s business model. This included unique storefront experiences, backend systems, integrations, and workflows that enabled subscriptions, influencer-driven growth, and operational scalability long before existing platforms could accommodate their requirements. This bespoke solution empowered Burst to quickly adapt, innovate, and expand without being hindered by platform constraints. Throughout this period, we consistently improved performance, reliability, and user experience while supporting the brand in various growth phases.
Strategic Migration to Shopify (2024)
In 2024, as the business grew and operational complexity increased, we facilitated a complete transition from the custom platform to Shopify. This strategic move was focused on enhancing maintainability, scalability, and leveraging the ecosystem while still providing Burst the necessary flexibility. SpringHire managed the entire migration process—from data transfer and storefront reconstruction to maintaining subscription continuity, optimizing performance, and integrating systems. The switch to Shopify was carried out flawlessly, ensuring no disruption to customers, subscriptions, or ongoing operations.
