UX & UI Design for Global Video On Demand Product

Unknown

SPI International, the project owner, is a global media enterprise that operates 42 television channels and digital services across six continents, collaborating with over 700 operators worldwide. With 90 million subscribers, SPI's primary streaming service, FilmBox+, offers 14,000 pieces of content in 69 countries, available in 18 languages. The aim of the project was to re-envision the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of SPI International's OTT products for a re-launch, beginning with FilmBox+, their flagship brand. Once this aspect was completed, we decided to broaden the project’s scope to also include updates for Film1 in the Netherlands and Dizi.com, a global OTT service focused on Turkish telenovelas. We structured this comprehensive project into two main phases: research and design. We initiated our process with competitive analysis, prototype personas, and journey maps, building our expertise in collaboration with the SPI product team to thoroughly understand the industry. We then proceeded to refresh the UX and UI design for various platforms, encompassing web, mobile web, mobile applications (both iOS and Android), and large-screen applications like Android TV, Apple TV, LG WebOS, and Samsung Tizen. As a result, the updated design approach for all three products received positive feedback from numerous stakeholders within and outside the company. The introduction of mobile-optimized sales pages on web and mobile platforms led to a fivefold increase in organic new subscriptions. Additionally, the conversion rate for acquiring new customers has surpassed e-commerce benchmarks.

We structured this large project into two key phases: research and design. UX & UI Design for Rangda&Barong E-Commerce

Unknown

Rangda & Barong is a luxury jewelry design brand founded in 2006, drawing inspiration from mythology and nature to infuse everyday life with a sense of luxury. Their goal is to elevate women's favorite jewelry pieces beyond the ordinary, creating bespoke handcrafted items that blend uniqueness and value. The brand presents a jewelry collection steeped in mythological exoticism and a bohemian ethos. Facing the need for a comprehensive overhaul of their online sales platforms, Rangda & Barong encountered a significant challenge: luxury jewelry is typically sold at premium prices in physical stores, leading to customer hesitance around online purchases, as identified in our preliminary research. Consequently, we aimed to develop a cohesive online experience that bridges the gap between the in-store and online realms regarding luxury, security, and trust. To achieve this, we commenced with in-depth UX research, encompassing benchmarking, competitive analysis, and customer interviews. The findings underscored the necessity of cultivating trust in online shopping, particularly concerning materials, certification, delivery, and insurance. Additionally, we discovered that our customers valued the narratives behind each design and appreciated a personal connection to the products prior to purchase. All our solutions were tailored to enhance these aspects. After launching Rangda & Barong's revamped sales channel, we observed a marked increase in customer desirability.
