ABOUT SOMEWHERE ELSE

Based in Singapore, Somewhere Else is a people-fir

As a brand consultancy that prioritizes people, we collaborate with leaders who are passionate about their principles, infusing our work with genuine emotion. We challenge the status quo, creating meaningful disruptions in the market and raising the bar. From strategy to experience, we transform bold concepts into brands that resonate with people. A NEW APPROACH TO LEADERSHIP STARTS HERE. We cater to conviction-driven businesses eager to go beyond the ordinary. Our mission is not to conform, and neither is that of the brands we partner with. We focus on those who have been underestimated or who deliberately choose to reject conventional norms, prioritizing the communities they serve. In a world that encourages uniformity, we help them stay authentic, differentiate themselves, and claim the recognition they deserve. This is where conviction takes form, purpose gains momentum, and overlooked brands thrive. Welcome to Somewhere Else.

Cedele Brand Refresh: Kindness Made Visible

CEDELE

Established in 1997, Cedele began as a single artisanal bakery driven by a passion for natural ingredients. Over the years, it has expanded into a sizable chain with more than 20 locations in Singapore, offering healthy baked goods and meals. Despite its success and continued enthusiasm, the brand's focus on growth in the past decade led to a gradual decline in its brand equity. Disconnected from its artisanal origins, potential customers began to view it as just another chain, missing its true value. Although Cedele enjoyed 79% brand awareness, its positioning was unclear, with many associating it with generic eateries that serve salads rather than recognizing it as a distinctive health-oriented brand. To combat this misunderstanding, we aimed to realign the brand with its original promise by reintroducing a sense of openness, warmth, and memorable experiences throughout customer interactions. By redesigning these touchpoints to showcase the brand's quality ingredients and meticulous preparation, we aligned the team’s authentic approach with customer perceptions in-store. BELIEF & MOMENTUM Even after twenty years, Cedele's core mission has remained to create feel-good moments through food. We distilled their brand philosophy into the new tagline “Honestly Sourced, Mindfully Made”—a meaningful statement that differentiates them from superficial healthy claims.

Brand Identity and Packaging Refresh

Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie

Mr. Bucket, known for its accessible bean-to-bar chocolate, has become a prominent name in households. As the brand began to evolve, we collaborated with their team to create a refreshed identity that aligns with their growing ambitions. This significant transformation for the chocolatier went beyond mere aesthetics; it needed to bolster Mr. Bucket's initiatives in gifting, special edition packaging, Changi travel retail, and new store openings. The goal was to establish a flagship identity that resonates with target customers, enhances brand perception, and stands out in a competitive artisanal chocolate market. The challenge was to capture Mr. Bucket’s innovative and authentic essence while ensuring it has the sophistication and refinement that reflects its high-quality, handmade products.

Rebranding: Once Misunderstood, Now Unmistakable

Seek Sophie

Travel start-up Seek Sophie gained recognition for curating unconventional travel experiences in Southeast Asia, revealing lesser-known surf camps, bee farms, and little-known treks. When travel restrictions were imposed, they shifted towards offering local experiences in Singapore. Although this change was successful, it somewhat diluted the brand's original identity. Through their customer research, Seek Sophie discovered strong feedback highlighting their uniqueness: “I view Seek Sophie as quite distinct; their offerings are unlike anything else in this region. When I think of them, I associate them with adventure and nature.” Additionally, customers expressed a preference for using a dependable platform instead of facing the hassle of dealing with independent vendors, stating that Seek Sophie provides the reliability they seek. A brand audit revealed some inconsistencies and critical gaps, which provided the foundation for a strategic reset aimed at reinforcing the brand's core values of purpose and trust while keeping its adventurous spirit intact. In response, we redefined Seek Sophie as a guide for adventurous, values-oriented travelers who don’t conform to traditional expectations. Our narrative promotes thoughtful exploration with a “Keeping It Real” commitment, integrating authenticity, purpose, and genuine care into every recommendation.
