Loma Lux Laboratories

Loma Lux Laboratories, located in California, specializes in producing natural solutions for skin issues. Established in 1990, the company is dedicated to offering high-quality products that enhance skin health and overall wellness. Softellar collaborated with Loma Lux Laboratories to create a tailored cloud migration strategy. The process began with setting up a new infrastructure and network within Azure Cloud, including a Site-to-Site VPN connection to their existing on-premises network, allowing seamless integration between their on-premises and cloud environments during the migration. Once the infrastructure was established and a secure connection was formed, our team crafted a detailed migration roadmap that outlined a step-by-step plan to minimize disruption to Loma Lux Laboratories’ operations. To facilitate a smooth transition, we used Azure SQL for the databases and Azure App Service for their PHP-based web applications. Additionally, Softellar containerized their custom services with Docker technology and migrated them to Azure Container Instance services. This strategy ensured that Loma Lux Laboratories’ applications could operate in the cloud without any necessary modifications or compatibility issues. By the end of the migration, all of Loma Lux Laboratories' applications were successfully transferred to Azure Cloud, allowing them to leverage the advantages of cloud infrastructure. Our team also provided training and support to help Loma Lux Laboratories effectively manage their new cloud environment.

Grand Financial, Inc

Grand Financial, Inc, a company based in the US, specializes in selling cars and offers various financial options such as credits and loans. With a large customer base, they required a solution to connect their internal system with several financial institutions to enhance the options available to their clients. Softellar provided custom development services to automate the data collection and integrate it with Grand Financial's existing system. We assessed their current data sources and designed a unified data model to maintain data consistency and accuracy. Softellar's team created a service that aggregates data from different financial institutions, processes it, and stores it in an Azure SQL database. Additionally, we developed a .NET Web API to facilitate integration with the customer's internal system, along with a small React frontend for users to search and view the data. The backend was developed using Azure Functions, and to minimize costs for Grand Financial, Inc, we implemented a consumption plan, whereby the customer is billed only for actual execution time, which remains low since synchronization occurs twice daily. The frontend is hosted on Azure CDN to deliver optimal performance.
