Casegen AI: Voice Automation Platform for Law Firm
Law firms often miss out on cases due to unanswered calls. When the office is closed—during evenings, weekends, and holidays—potential clients are directed to voicemail, and many don’t leave messages; they simply move on to the next firm. Manual case intake is not only inconsistent and costly, but it also involves attorneys spending time on administrative tasks. There was a clear need for round-the-clock support that could provide attorney-level questioning quality, bilingual assistance, and ensure full compliance.
What We Developed: We created AI voice agents equipped to think like attorneys. The conversation flows were crafted with input from a practicing personal injury attorney, with every question designed to reflect how an experienced lawyer assesses a case’s viability.
- Dynamic intake tailored to different case types—questions for auto accidents differ from those for medical malpractice;
- Bilingual support in English and Spanish, tested for regional dialects;
- In-call document collection via SMS, utilizing vision AI to analyze uploads in real time;
- Case scoring based on discussions and documents, continuously learning from attorney feedback;
- Intelligent live transfers with all relevant context once specific criteria are met;
- A turn-based voice architecture selected for compliance audit trails and cost efficiency;
- Multi-provider orchestration with automatic contingencies for production reliability;
- Customization options for each firm at global, company, and agent levels;
- Quality evaluation based on large language models to assess every call.
How We Operated: We adopted an agent-first approach, starting with transcription, validating our infrastructure, and gradually adding more complexity. Real call recordings were used to build our test dataset, and every AI modification was tested against hundreds of scenarios before deployment. The entire process included four phases with set deliverables and bi-weekly alignment calls.
Results: The platform now manages thousands of calls each month, achieving a 95% case capture rate and a 1.2-second response time. Law firms report an 80-90% cost reduction compared to traditional answering services. There are no missed leads, consistent quality, and attorneys are able to reclaim valuable hours for billable work.
