We assist mission-driven organizations in leveraging the principles of human-centered innovation to develop more effective and meaningful products and programs. At Smith Assembly, our collaborative and participatory method prioritizes the perspectives of those who create, utilize, and are impacted by our offerings. We teach teams how to weave inclusion, equity, and sustainability into their design and development processes. Our company is founded and led by two women from diverse backgrounds and ages, who contribute unique insights and experiences to our work. We have cultivated our specialized knowledge in both highly developed and resource-limited settings globally, as well as in collaboration with esteemed organizations like MIT, Google, Starbucks, frog, and NASA. In addition, Smith Assembly is committed to making a difference — we allocate 5% of our annual revenue to community-led nonprofits that promote local innovation, participate in the 1% for the Planet initiative, and hold certifications as a B Corporation™ and a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE).
