About the Team
OUR STORY
Since 2004, SLIMDESIGN has specialized in creating electronic products by focusing on essential simplicity that blends design innovation with technological expertise. Named after the Dutch word for 'smart' and 'clever,' the studio operates from Amsterdam's historic West-Indisch Huis, a symbolic location reflecting creativity and legacy. With a lean, integrated development approach, SLIMDESIGN acts as an external development department for partners, fostering meaningful, long-term collaborations. Their multidisciplinary team, led by founder Wouter Konings, combines design, mechanical, and electrical engineering skills to guide projects from concept to manufacturing. Proud recipients of numerous design awards, the company values client satisfaction and impactful innovations, helping brands stand out in competitive markets through thoughtful, streamlined product development.
