CircleMedical (YC) - Best Value & Retention

CircleMedical

CircleMedical, a rapidly growing YC company, is experiencing over 200% year-over-year revenue growth and needed to expand their engineering team with exceptional talent. Silver.dev utilized its technical and industry knowledge to identify and assess outstanding candidates, successfully placing a software engineer who advanced to become one of the organization's engineering leaders. We capitalized on our industry insights to effectively present the company to potential hires. Top-tier talent expects as much from recruiters as they do from companies, and they prefer direct communication over unnecessary embellishments. Our key advantage is our deep understanding of the startup sector, led by founder Gabriel Benmergui, a Staff Engineer with over ten years of experience. We grasp the company’s technical requirements and can find the right talent-market fit more efficiently than inundating countless engineers with irrelevant messages. Additionally, we can counsel top talent on career opportunities, company culture, startup evaluations, and more—services that most other agencies cannot provide.

PairTeam (YC) - From Seed to Series A

PairTeam

PairTeams, a company in the health tech sector backed by Y Combinator, aimed to establish a remote organization from the ground up and turned to Silver.dev for assistance in identifying top remote talent. We had an ideal candidate in our network—one whom we would have chosen ourselves if we had the opportunity. This individual was appointed as the first founding engineer and quickly became a key part of the engineering foundation. As the company expanded, so did its engineering team. Our initial placement progressed to a leadership role, taking charge of building a remote team of over five members. Silver.dev facilitated half of the hires by aiding in sourcing, vetting, and closely collaborating with the hiring manager to ensure their requirements were met. The success rate for our candidates with this client exceeded 50%. The company successfully advanced to Series A funding, the remote team experienced no turnover over three years, and the organization grew from Seed to Series A. Key Point 1: Access to a Vetted Talent Pool We conducted extensive interviews and screenings of a large candidate pool, enabling us to establish strong relationships with talented individuals that we can draw upon for suitable opportunities right away. In this instance, we identified a remarkable engineer with both industry experience and management skills. He became a founding engineer on the team, mastering the company’s inner workings and establishing a positive engineering culture. Key Point 2: High Hiring Success Rate The time of founders and engineers is incredibly valuable. We implement rigorous screening processes tailored to each company’s needs. We continually enhance our pipeline to secure the right talent both technically and culturally. All candidates submitted to PairTeams were successfully hired or were very close to being hired.

Bespoke Post - 2X Engineering Teams

Bespoke Post

Bespoke Post is an online platform offering subscription-themed boxes. As they experienced rapid growth, they needed to quickly expand their remote engineering team, specifically seeking Ruby on Rails engineers. We assisted Bespoke in sourcing and vetting candidates within this specialized field, achieving a 30% pass rate. Key Element 1: Engineering-Focused Recruitment Our approach is driven by engineering expertise—Gabriel Benmergui, a Staff Engineer with over a decade of experience in startups, leads this initiative. We grasp the company's technical requirements and are adept at identifying suitable candidates, avoiding the approach of indiscriminately contacting thousands of engineers with irrelevant messages. Key Element 2: Ongoing Enhancement We are committed to continually refining the recruitment process for companies. Our searches are customized to meet their specific needs, informed by feedback from both hiring managers and candidates. We work on improving the interview procedures, strengthening our screening methods, and offering insights on talent markets. Feedback from candidates who do not pass interviews is used to enhance our recruitment pipeline, allowing us to make immediate adjustments.
