Founded in 2012, [SIC] represents the pinnacle of a 15-year collaborative partnership between Clark Wang and Matt Clarke (who are not related). We established Shoot in China to leverage our expertise in video production within the country, offering a higher quality and more cost-effective service to international clients. Over the past decade, we have completed over 1600 projects, which include high-end TV commercials, film and documentary shoots, as well as simpler one-day shoots, equipment rentals, and logistical support for visiting teams. As a boutique production company, we have developed a skilled bilingual crew, a network of equipment, and logistical resources to ensure a seamless filming experience in China with exceptional results. [SIC] takes pride in being the Chinese representative of the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers.

Matt Clarke's journey from studying film in the UK to a diverse media career in China began unintentionally in 2005. With a background that includes working at the BBC, he has spent over 16 years honing his craft in the Chinese media landscape. His experience spans from intense periods at a startup production house to freelancing as a writer, cameraman, and editor, along with four years in local production companies. This extensive expertise across multiple facets of production has been instrumental in managing the diverse projects at [SIC]. Fluent in reading and speaking Mandarin—albeit with imperfect tones—Matt's unique blend of skills and experience continues to drive the company's success.
