About the Team

OUR STORY
Second Home Studios began in 2004, born from a collaboration between Chris Randall and Jim Turner to fulfill the need for distinctive onstage visuals in theatre. Merging animation expertise with camera discipline, the company initially focused on theatrical projects ranging from political satires to spectacular productions. By 2008, it evolved into a dedicated animation studio under Chris’s sole leadership, while Jim pursued documentary work yet remained connected. Located centrally, the studio boasts versatile spaces for animation and live-action filming, enabling diverse styles and techniques—from stop-motion to green screen photography. Emphasizing partnership, adaptability, and creativity, Second Home Studios has worked with a variety of clients, producing award-winning projects while maintaining a collaborative, flexible approach to each unique challenge.
