Vue Orleans

THE CHALLENGE: Vue Orleans is a new attraction in New Orleans that combines a cultural experience with an observation deck atop the World Trade Center. Despite six years of development and over $30 million in investments, the venue experienced lower-than-anticipated visitor numbers following its grand opening in March 2022. Search Influence was called in to reassess the marketing strategy, creative content, and media plan, applying our digital expertise and metrics-driven approach to the strategy. Upon investigating the situation, we discovered that the original launch efforts by the current team had not generated the expected awareness. OUR APPROACH: Our strategy focused on three main components: enhancing the brand narrative through improved creative content that guides target audiences toward purchasing tickets, refining the marketing strategy and media plan to deliver targeted messaging for consistent visitation, and maintaining a strong focus on data analysis. We continuously test, measure, optimize, and learn to make swift decisions that drive up both visitation and revenue. AN EXCEPTIONAL MEDIA PLAN: To effectively engage both residents and tourists, we implemented a significantly more aggressive media plan with quadrupled spending across both digital and traditional platforms. Our digital tactics included Facebook Display and Google Paid Search, alongside initial search engine optimization efforts to establish a solid SEO foundation. STRATEGIC CREATIVE: The revamped campaign creative emphasized Vue's fascinating exhibits and immersive experiences. The results were remarkable, showing a considerable boost in paid display traffic and a rise in Instagram followers that reflected increased brand awareness. RESULTS: In just four months, visitation surged by 370%, with spring 2023 setting new records. The average number of daily visitors reached 205, marking a 204% increase in visitor revenue compared to the previous year, and a 250% rise in overall visitors year-over-year.

Palo Alto University

OBJECTIVE & CONTEXT: Small universities and higher education institutions prioritize inquiries and initiated applications as key performance metrics. Palo Alto had been conducting a cross-platform campaign across Google, Facebook, and SEO for roughly a year with insufficient results, averaging 185 leads monthly. We collaborated with the client to aim for an average of 250 inquiries per month over the next six months. Our analysis indicated that budget constraints were limiting our reach to a portion of the available audience. We were only lightly engaging each segment of our target student population, and our experience suggested that reaching a larger number of potential students more frequently would yield improved results. SEARCH INFLUENCE’S STRATEGY: Our team developed and implemented a four-pronged strategy to enhance lead generation within their target audience. OUTCOME: Through optimizing content and messaging and applying strategic budget management, we surpassed our goal by 8%. The analysis of the data-driven campaign not only improved the effectiveness of their previous marketing efforts but also led to a rise in student inquiries by reallocating funds to successful campaigns.

Audubon Nature Institute

THE CHALLENGE: Prior to 2019, Audubon encountered difficulties in their marketing for private events. The teams in charge of various marketing functions, including media buying, digital ads, and social media, operated separately without a cohesive strategy. Furthermore, there were barriers in communication and processes among the teams responsible for venue bookings, making it hard for potential clients to grasp Audubon's diverse event offerings. This lack of integration created an opportunity to enhance spending efficiency and coordination. OUR SOLUTION: To tackle these challenges, Search Influence crafted a detailed strategy to align the teams and establish a unified approach. We conducted a workshop that brought together all relevant parties, including sales, operations, and marketing, to exchange their insights. We presented research and recommendations, which were then integrated into a comprehensive plan for the upcoming year. The strategy included developing buyer personas and a marketing funnel drawn from the research findings. A coordinated media plan was created, featuring SEO, Facebook advertising, and tests of LinkedIn Lead Gen Ads. Additionally, a trade strategy was formed with a local publishing company to optimize the benefits of their agreement. The workshop effectively secured buy-in for a new approach to sharing information with brides and event planners, thereby simplifying their decision-making process. RESULTS: The outcome was impressive, with a 25% increase in leads while maintaining the same budget! The efforts resulted in 5,080 phone call and form leads, exceeding the previous year's total by 1,004 leads, signifying a notable 25% growth in leads.
