Establishing an effective and skilled QA team from the ground up can be a demanding endeavor, particularly when companies lack the necessary expertise to hire the right specialists. In this article, we discuss how Savarian.tech facilitated the recruitment process and formed an ideal quality assurance team.
**Client:** A FinTech startup based in the US
**Technologies:** .Net, Angular JS, MsSQL, MongoDB
**Tools:** Python, PyTest, Selenium, Azure DevOps, DataDog, Jira, XRay, Postman
**Team Composition:** Multiple Scrum teams consisting of front-end and back-end developers, as well as manual and automation QA engineers, alongside a Scrum master.
**Key Objectives and Challenges:**
Our primary goal was to assist the client in assembling an in-house QA team capable of testing the company’s products and identifying both functional and non-functional issues. We needed to establish a comprehensive recruitment process to speed up candidate selection, identify the best specialists, and streamline onboarding. Additionally, we faced the challenge of migrating tasks and databases to ensure a more secure and user-friendly experience.
**Our Solution:**
Savarian.tech successfully helped the client build a QA team from scratch. This involved recruiting an in-house Head of Quality Assurance and a Lead QA Engineer, supplying QA resources for both functional and non-functional web platform testing, and managing the onboarding process for both in-house and offshore teams. We also assisted the client in enhancing software development life cycle (SDLC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, as well as seamlessly transitioning all tasks and databases from Google Docs to Jira and Confluence.
**Project Outcomes:**
Our efforts led to a 95% increase in test coverage and a 90% increase in requirement coverage for the client’s team, while also reducing the release time by 70%.
