Following this acquisition, the client faced significant pressure to demonstrate its success by: - Tapping into and consolidating the best solutions and technological capabilities across the acquired competing product lines - Streamlining operations to lower maintenance and support costs for these product lines - Developing and designing new business capabilities that would position the client as an innovative leader in the market Consequences: If the client failed to quickly devise a strategic roadmap, execute tactical and strategic initiatives within the necessary timeframe, and overcome the challenges of integration, it risked: - Financial repercussions, as the market expected a unified direction and messaging regarding the product lines - Enhanced competition from fintech companies, which benefit from being digitally native and innovation-focused - Customer dissatisfaction due to the absence of expected features and functionalities from a market leader.

Media Metadata API Platform Solution

**Situation** In order to achieve its media supply chain management objectives, the client convened all stakeholders—including content producers, partners, and vendors—and developed a cohesive Media Metadata API platform specification. Following a project plan with a designated launch date, the client aimed to implement the API platform while the stakeholders prepared their internal systems for integration with this new platform. **Impact** As the launch date drew nearer, the client began to understand that the strategy and approach for implementing the API platform would not allow them to meet the deadline. **Situation:** The payment processing workflow involved numerous interfaces and subsystems, all of which were managed by mainframe infrastructure.
