DECO Recovery Management

DECO Recovery Management is a healthcare organization that collaborates with hospital administrations to enhance their Revenue Cycle Management Systems (RCM). Acting as the intermediary between numerous patients and hospitals, Red River was initially engaged to support and maintain DECO's phone system. Over time, our role expanded to managing their entire IT environment. In 2019, DECO and Red River recognized the need to update their back-office infrastructure. Instead of upgrading their outdated IT equipment, DECO opted to transition to a fully Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud infrastructure, aiming to move away from their on-premises system and incorporate modern remote work capabilities. Red River facilitated DECO's digital transformation from an on-prem model to a cloud-based setup. Daily operations have become more straightforward in their new Office 365 SaaS environment. The migration of their entire file server to OneDrive and SharePoint was completed without any data loss or disruptions to their business. Teams has facilitated easier collaboration and file sharing for a more mobile workforce. By utilizing MS Teams and VoicePlus, DECO significantly reduced their phone system user count from 200 to 50 and eliminated reliance on an on-premise phone solution. After migrating their back-office applications to Office 365 SaaS, DECO employees can work remotely without concerns. InTune and Azure MFA allow for quick authentication on any device, eliminating the need for constant VPN logins. Rather than investing in a full hardware upgrade, Red River successfully transformed DECO’s legacy system by leveraging Microsoft Office 365. Upgrading their back-office infrastructure has equipped DECO's entire staff with the tools to enhance collaboration and the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Clark Realty Capital (CRC) is a nationwide real estate firm dedicated to serving military housing partners and collaborating on real estate investments with the Clark organization. CRC needed to make its data accessible to various regional offices across the country. Previously, each regional office relied on physical servers for data storage, with backups sent to a central data center through third-party backup software via DMVPN connectivity. These data backups were then replicated to a secondary data center for redundancy and long-term storage. CRC sought a backup and recovery solution that would simplify data protection across all its locations nationwide while minimizing dependence on outdated hardware and reducing capital expenditures. To address this, Red River implemented a backup solution using N2WS for servers hosted on AWS. Additionally, to facilitate site-to-site connections for all regional offices, an SD-WAN solution was deployed using Meraki's vMX appliance in the AWS Cloud. Red River installed the N2WS Cloud Protection Manager, which provided a comprehensive backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solution that met CRC's immediate storage needs and enabled optimized growth. This approach allowed CRC to retire all regional office server hardware, eliminating approximately $10,000 per site in capital expenditures for hardware upgrades. The primary data center's SAN was downsized, and the secondary data center's SAN was decommissioned. Overall, CRC achieved nearly $200,000 in annual IT savings and established a storage solution that is resilient, scalable, and secure. Red River Managed Services offers continuous support and maintenance for the system, ensuring 24/7 assistance.
