Founded in the late 1800s by George Quinion and Leavitt Trucking, the company evolved from coal sales to fuel oil and kerosene delivery as heating technologies advanced. Operating from a North Main Street storefront in Bristol, it gained regional recognition. The business transitioned through generations, with George's grandson Brett Quinion and friend Don Phillips joining in the 1970s. Under Brett, the company was renamed Quinoco and expanded through multiple acquisitions, broadening its service area across Connecticut. Don enhanced the service division, emphasizing quality installations and adding cooling solutions.
