By 2019, The Times reached over 10.7 million readers monthly in both print and digital formats across Great Britain. In response to the declining sales of printed newspapers, The Times sought to establish a digital venture in the rapidly expanding travel sector. After previous unsuccessful partnerships with other digital service providers, The Times chose Q as the ideal collaborator to develop a web application that features travel articles, expert recommendations, and exclusive travel deals. Q managed all aspects of the product development process, including discovery, UX & UI design, web app creation, SEO, and infrastructure optimization. Our contributions included UX & UI design, web app quality assurance, SEO, and infrastructure work. We handled the entire project execution, from the initial concept and workshops to UX, UI, development, SEO, and infrastructure optimization. The app aims to inspire and empower users across the globe to have custom and unique travel experiences. Following the initial launch, Q continues to enhance and maintain the application, focusing on improving its performance and visibility with a dedicated team of designers, developers, and marketing and SEO specialists.
