Volkswagen - China's first connected car #InternetofThings #ConnectedCar
We assisted Volkswagen in creating China's first connected car platform, which remains a leader in the advancement of automotive lifestyle technology. This involved adapting one of its key projects, Car-Net, to meet the needs of the Chinese market. Car-Net enables Volkswagen customers to utilize a range of apps and services integrated into their vehicles that enhance security, safety, and provide valuable vehicle health information. All services and apps can be accessed through the car's onboard computer, as well as via a web-based portal and mobile app. For instance, Volkswagen owners can use built-in GPS to plan trips, receive real-time updates on the fastest routes, locate the most affordable gas stations, and find parking or charging stations for electric vehicles. They can also track where they parked their vehicle, remotely control doors and lights, and create shared playlists. Following its successful launch in Europe, PYCO facilitated the platform's introduction in China, where Volkswagen branded it as the "Mobile Online Service for China" (MOSC).
