About the Team
OUR STORY
Proper Cuppa is a Canadian tea company rooted in Ottawa, dedicated to making tea enjoyable and accessible. Founded by Sarah and Onur, tea enthusiasts and MBAs who met at UBC, the company offers a diverse range of loose leaf teas, including classic varieties like Assam, Earl Grey, and Rooibos. Beyond traditional teas, Proper Cuppa provides a creative Tea Blending Kit, encouraging customers to craft their own unique flavors. The founders' personal experiences with tea—Sarah's preference for hearty black blends and Onur's Turkish tea heritage—influence their passion for sharing tea culture. They also support tea exploration through educational resources, interactive quizzes, and guides, fostering a deeper appreciation and mastery of tea brewing across Canada.
