A fresh future for Ruby Jean's Juicery.

Ruby Jean's Juicery

Ruby Jean’s Juicery, located in Kansas City, is a juice brand committed to encouraging healthier lifestyles with its fresh, nutrient-rich juices, smoothies, and healthy snacks. Drawing inspiration from a strong family heritage, Ruby Jean’s prioritizes wellness, community, and genuine connections with each sip and interaction. CHALLENGE: Ruby Jean’s Juicery was preparing to make a significant expansion from its local retail presence to a national brand by launching wholesale distribution. They needed an updated website that would cater not only to their current customers in the Kansas City area but also effectively showcase their packaged products to attract new grocers and retailers interested in stocking them. SOLUTION: We created a new digital design system that reflects the vibrancy and energy of Ruby Jean’s brand and aligns with their latest product packaging. The revamped Squarespace website was designed for a smoother online shopping experience for juicing customers, while still facilitating orders from their physical locations through Toast. We also reorganized the homepage’s information architecture to effectively communicate key details that wholesalers would seek, including a quick overview of Ruby Jean’s brand story, the advantages of its cold-pressed juices, product availability, and contact information.

Raising the bar for recreational cannabis websites

Vertical Cannabis

Vertical Cannabis, a cannabis cultivator and dispensary located in St. Joseph, Missouri, faced a challenge when recreational cannabis use was legalized in the state. The company needed to quickly adapt to the influx of new dispensaries and cannabis brands. Having pushed their existing Wix site to its limits, Vertical Cannabis recognized the need to improve their web capabilities and redesign their website to cater to this new audience. They sought a user-friendly admin system that would enable them to manage the site independently, an integrated shopping experience that would keep e-commerce activities on their site, and a design overhaul to refresh their online brand and elevate the customer experience. To address these needs, we developed a custom e-commerce-integrated WordPress site that emphasized a sleek, modern user experience. Our design seamlessly connected with Vertical’s point-of-sale system, iHeartJane, streamlining the customer journey from the initial browsing phase all the way to the final purchase. Additionally, the new website equipped the Vertical Cannabis team with comprehensive control over content management, allowing them to update promotions, product information, and job listings at the pace required by their business.

A museum built for the world to see.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

The Challenge: The museum's previous website not only appeared outdated but also hindered its progress. Frequently mistaken for a minor local attraction in Kansas City, the museum is actually a renowned monument celebrating the legacy of the Negro Leagues. This presented a significant opportunity to change that misconception and elevate the museum's standing to reflect its true importance. As the organization prepared to launch a substantial capital campaign for a new, larger facility, they required more than a simple redesign. They needed a comprehensive website transformation that honored the League’s legacy, conveyed confidence and credibility, and facilitated meaningful engagement for both existing and new supporters of the museum. The Solution: We collaborated closely with the NLBM to create a well-considered, forward-thinking website in time for the upcoming baseball season. Every aspect was approached deliberately, from the visuals and integrations to the underlying data.
