Chief Minister's Medicine Operations Portal
A robust Medicine Supply Chain Management Information System has been rolled out across various provinces in Pakistan, aimed at digitizing and enhancing the entire lifecycle of medicines. Although primarily intended for pharmaceuticals, its flexible design allows for easy modifications to accommodate vaccines, equipment, consumables, and wider commodity supply chains. This system covers the full value chain, from generating demand and procurement to warehousing, quality assurance, logistics, and inventory management at facilities, offering a cohesive and real-time operational perspective. Facilities can submit organized demand requests using standardized codes, aided by low stock alerts and consumption analytics to boost forecasting accuracy. Procurement processes have been simplified with digital purchase orders, vendor selection, and tracking, improving both transparency and efficiency. Warehousing benefits from real-time inventory monitoring, batch and expiration date management, and automated FIFO/LIFO flagging to minimize waste. Integrated quality testing guarantees that only compliant stock is made available. Distribution is enhanced through route planning, shipment tracking, and proof of delivery systems, while facility modules provide visibility into the last mile and enable issue reporting. Interactive dashboards deliver insights on stock levels, consumption patterns, and supply chain performance, facilitating informed decision-making. Designed to promote supply chain resilience, digital transformation, and transparency, the platform is scalable across different sectors. Created by Process Junction (Pvt.) Ltd., with strategic collaborative support, it offers a future-ready approach to effective, accountable, and integrated supply chain management.
