Sprint Electric is a manufacturer of industrial electronics that specializes in designing, developing, and producing electronic speed controllers for high-power electric motors. This progress has been made possible through a retrofit approach, allowing them to extend the lifespan of thousands of devices already in use and circumventing the need for a comprehensive R&D project to entirely redesign or replace Sprint Electric's current product line. Huawei, the world's leading manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, is widely recognized for its affordable mobile phones. To support the introduction of its newest device, the P9, Priocept collaborated with the global advertising agency Doner to create a competition website aimed at promoting this smartphone. The Huawei P9 is equipped with dual 12-megapixel Leica lenses, complemented by sensors that capture RGB and monochrome light, designed to produce sharper images and enhance low-light performance. To highlight this innovative technology, Priocept and Doner initiated a Europe-wide digital campaign featuring a photography competition aimed at aspiring influencers. Participants simply needed to share their best smartphone photos on Instagram with the hashtag #dontsnapshoot. Prizes included a trip for winners to Shenzhen and Beijing, where nine finalists would spend a week exploring and photographing their adventures to demonstrate the P9's camera capabilities. A panel of experts from Vogue and GQ selected the final winner, whose images were published in both magazines. The competition ran for eight successful weeks, leading to over 100,000 Instagram and Facebook posts, while the campaign website attracted millions of views and continues to spark interest in the P9. This effective marketing strategy was made possible through the use of advanced cloud technologies, integration with social media, and a well-organized delivery process, ensuring the timely launch of each competition phase.
