This adaptable camera solution features a robust image sensor without unnecessary features, with image processing handled by an external processor module. Key development milestones included achieving output resolution up to 4K, employing the CSI bus for data transmission, and ensuring compatibility with V4L2 applications, Raspberry Pi boards, and C-CS mount high-quality lenses. **RESULT:** The PieSoft R&D team delivered an affordable solution featuring an image sensor poised to drive the production of low-cost, high-speed cameras capable of functioning effectively in extreme low-light conditions. The minor development costs incurred by our customer led to a significant return on investment, paving the way for future opportunities.
