Web team establishment for a Corporate web app
Client (service, industry):
Boardmaps, a corporate decision-making platform. The client expanded their web development team from 1 to 4 members in one year. This cross-platform application facilitates the management of high-level executive meetings across corporate, governmental, educational, and nonprofit sectors.
Challenge (pain):
The client sought our help when they required a skilled Senior React engineer to revamp their existing web component using a new technology stack. Despite their efforts to find suitable talent over three months, they were unsuccessful.
Process/Approach/Solution (what we did, how and why):
We presented several candidates from our internal talent pool, and they selected one individual with extensive experience in React as well as other programming languages. It took us a week to conduct client-side interviews and finalize contracts. As the product evolved over the months, the client required additional Frontend engineers, leading to the addition of another Senior React developer and two Middle React engineers. One engineer, who also possesses React Native skills, has transitioned into mobile app development.
Team/Technologies (who did it and what they used):
The team consisted of 2 Senior Frontend Engineers and 2 Middle Frontend Engineers. They utilized technologies such as React, TypeScript, Immutable.js, Chart.js, i18Next, Effector, HTML5/SASS, Long-Polling, WebSockets, and Jest.
Outcome/Current state (what happens now):
The product has been successfully acquired by a larger company, and the team continues to contribute value within the new organization, fully integrated into their workflows, tools, and policies. The client is still expanding, and we are actively engaged in staffing additional positions for them.
