Founded in 1986 by Peter and Ann Doughan in a family garage, Patioland began as a small enterprise specializing in patio enclosures and pergolas. Initially staffing just two employees, the company moved to a rented factory in Seven Hills by 1989, and in 1992, as the team grew to eight, they acquired their own premises in Marayong. Continued expansion led to a larger facility in Blacktown, where Patioland employed 15 full-time staff devoted to pergolas, decks, patios, custom awnings, and more. Renowned for quality, they've received multiple awards using the Hunter Douglas Shademaster Patio system.
